Brian Wilson The Movie
This is great news. A movie is going to be made on the life of Brian Wilson! One of the greatest innovators of popular music will get his own movie. The script will be written by the writer of I’m Not There, the biopic on Dylan. His life story already seems like it has been writen by a Hollywood scriptwriter. It features a genius who rises to high fame, hits rock bottom, and then makes a succesful comeback, and it also has lots of drugs, psychiatric illness and a quack psychiatrist in it. Hopefully it will contain some of his great music as well. To celebrate this news, here are two of Wilson’s best songs:
“God Only Knows”: his best song, according to the man himself (and Paul Mccartney’s favorite song ever)
“You Still Believe In Me”: from a live performance in 2002 (his voice not as angelic as in the 60′s but still full of soul)
