Raiders Of The Lost Archives
Movie-making, especially by celebrated directors, often consists of lots and lots of tributes and references to earlier movies and directors. Check out how that works in this video. It compares the first thirteen minutes of Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark to 30 (!) different classic adventure movies, made between 1919 and 1973. It’s amazing to see how the shots are alike.
Took the guy who compiled this two years, by the way.
